Minhyuk (BTOB) tested positive for COVID-19

The news that Minhyuk (BTOB) was infected with the coronavirus stirred up the Kpop fan community when just yesterday, 2 TREASURE members also tested positive for COVID-19.

COVID-19 has had an impact on the world in general and the K-pop industry in particular when consecutively many idols have been infected. Recently, BTOB’s management company, Cube Entertainment announced, Minhyuk was diagnosed with Covid-19 on July 17.”

It is known that the male idol was self-quarantined right after a vocal coach of the group was infected with the Coronavirus.  He then did a rapid antigen test and a PCR test and both got negative results.

However, on July 16, Minhyuk showed symptoms of cough and fever and was taken to a medical center for re-testing.  The final test results on July 17 showed that Minhyuk was positive for Covid-19.

Minhyuk’s brother also made a statement via Instastory as follows: “My faithful and diligent little brother who started from Kingdom, till the preparation of their comeback, composing songs, dance choreo, vocal practice, and not resting in between his resting period, including exercising for 2 hours regularly… Who knew he would’ve contracted it while taking vocal lessons Though upsetting and angry but what can be done. As COVID-19 is like this, that’s why it’s scary As we’ll never know when, where and how we get close, we should pay attention to our health carefully, and please pray for my little brother’s speedy recovery…”

Meanwhile, Doyoung and Junghwan (TREASURE) have also been confirmed positive for COVID-19.  Before that, Jisoo (Lovelyz) was also confirmed to be infected.  Currently, Kpop fans are worried when the epidemic is spreading seriously.  They also asked the management companies to pay attention and protect the health of the artists and ensure epidemic prevention measures.
