MBC’s new drama “Joseon Attorney” has been embroiled in an untimely controversy. The controversy is that it sniped SBS’ Friday-Saturday drama “Taxi Driver 2”, which airs at the same time.
On March 29th, a promotional post for “Joseon Attorney” was uploaded on MBC Drama’s official account.
This post included a poster of actor Woo Do Hwan, who played the main character Kang Han Soo in “Joseon Attorney”. However, the promotional phrase on Woo Do Hwan’s poster drew controversy. The poster says, “Taking a taxi and taking revenge illegally? We’re gonna take revenge legally.”
Some netizens claimed that “Joseon Attorney” sniped SBS’ Friday-Saturday drama “Taxi Driver 2”. They commented, “Is it okay to promote like this?”, “This is over the line”, “It’s a joke, but it’s not fun”…
On the other hand, many netizens thought that the promotion of “Joseon Attorney” seems to have been done properly, “It’s funny”, “It’s because ‘Taxi Driver’ is such a good drama”, “It’s just cute”…
