It all boils down to ‘BLACKPINK: Light Up The Sky‘, the group’s documentary. The documentary, which was released in 2020, tells the story of each of the members’ beginnings and journey to success.
Members of SM Entertainment‘s pre-debut group SM Rookies made a cameo in one segment of the documentary! The documentary displayed video of Mark, Taeil, Hansol, and Ten rehearsing in a practice room as the narrator talked about the training life for idols.
BLACKPINK‘s duet with Selena Gomez, “Ice Cream,” was heard playing in the background of a rehearsal video for NCT U‘s “90s Love” later that year. Fans soon determined that the music was being played by Mark and Jeno!
