For any trainee, debuting is a dream come true, but Jeong Ye In (Lovelyz) has a completely different experience.
Lovelyz is a South Korean girl group formed in 2014 by Woollim Entertainment. The current lineup includes: Baby Soul, Jiae, Jisoo, Mijoo, Kei, Jin, Sujeong, Yein. Recently, a post about Jeong Ye In’s feelings when debuting attracted attention. Specifically, the female idol expressed her anxiety at that time.
According to the post, Jeong Ye In used to be a contemporary dance student with no interest in the entertainment industry. However, she had to give up her dream of becoming a professional dancer due to a severe ankle injury. During the hiatus, Jeong Ye In took up singing as a hobby and signed up for Woollim’s audition just for fun. But it seems that the audition went extremely well, and she signed a contract with the management company. Within only 3 months, she finally debuted as a Lovelyz member.
Jeong Ye In revealed that she was terrified every day because everything came out of the blue and she was not ready for her new career. “In front of everyone, I feel as if I’m naked. I was terrified since I made my debut without being completely prepared.”
Jeong Ye In also shared about feeling self-conscious about her appearance, but she overcame it after realizing how lucky she is to have what she has: “There are a lot of difficult days for me after debuting, but I think I should be more grateful. No one can be as lucky as me and I decided to work even harder.”
