Lucas disappears from NCT’s activities: Some fans defend, while others ask SM to kick him out
Lucas being excluded from merchandise and recent schedules of NCT has caused netizens to question the male idol’s future in the industry.
It has been more than two months since NCT/WayV’s Lucas was involved in a series of shocking scandals when he was accused of cheating, gaslighting his ex-girlfriends, bad mouthing coworkers and taking advantage of fans. However, so far there has been no official information about the male idol’s future from his management agency SM. Although he posted a handwritten letter to apologize to the public and fans, as well as announced to suspend his activities, Lucas‘s scandal still had a significant impact on NCT.
Lucas is currently on hiatus to reflect on his past action. However, fans don’t see Lucas’s name on any recent goods or group promoting activities.
On the other hand, on Nov 1st, SM uploaded teasers of the Season’s Greetings 2022 collection for its artists. However, in WayV’s teaser, fans immediately realize there are only 6 instead of 7 members. And as expected, Lucas is absent. Fans are wondering, has SM kicked Lucas out of NCT and WayV?
Although no official announcement has been made, the fact that SM excluded Lucas from recent activities has raised suspicion about his withdrawal from NCT and Way V. Chinese netizens are currently separated with 2 opposite opinions. Many people support SM‘s decision to exclude Lucas from all their media sites so that NCT‘s image would not be affected negatively. On the other hand, some demand SM to stop doing ‘marketing’ on Lucas‘s name if they want to erase him out of NCT completely.
