The sad truth has finally come, Lovelyz will soon disband.
On November 1st, Woollim Entertainment announced an official statement, saying, “The exclusive contract between our company and Lovelyz members is expected to expire on the 16th of this month. After long and in-depth considerations and discussions, all 7 members of Lovelyz (Yoo Ji-ae, Seo Ji-soo, Lee Mi-joo, Kei, Jin, Ryu Su-jeong, and Jung Ye-in) decided to prepare for new starts in new positions. Therefore, we also respect and support the members’ wishes.
Woollim Entertainment continued, “Among Lovelyz members, BabySoul has signed a new contract with us based on the trust we have built up together over a long time. As a supporter, we will give our full support for her new leap and future activities. We would like to thank the eight members of Lovelyz for making the company shine and doing their best as an artist for the past 7 years, and we sincerely support the members’ new start.”
The agency also shared, “We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the fans who have supported, cared for and loved Lovelyz. We ask for your continued encouragement and support to Lovelyz members on their new starting line, and we sincerely thank you for your hot love and warm interest over the past 7 years.”
