LOONA completed first schedule after Chuu’s departure….even doing Chuu Heart?

After Chuu was removed from LOONA due to accusations of staff abuse, the group held a video call event with fans, their first official schedule as a group of 11 members.

According to media outlet OSEN on November 28th, LOONA held a video call event on the 27th to commemorate the release of their 2nd Japanese single “LUMINOUS”. The video call event was created when face-to-face fan signings became difficult after the COVID-19 pandemic, and it is a structure where stars and fans can have 1:1 video calls and talk.

Loona

This video call fan signing event is the first schedule carried out by LOONA after former member Chuu was removed due to alleged “power trip and abusive language” toward staff. Meanwhile, Hyunjin, who previously supported Chuu through a fan platform, still attended the fancall after previously missing her schedule on MBC’s “2022 FIFA Qatar World Cup Preview Show – Catharsis.”

With Chuu‘s exit, a gloomy and chaotic atmosphere was expected, but the members gained strength by talking with fans. The members made various poses and facial expressions at the request of the fans, and among them, there were fans who requested Chuu’s “biting heart”, which has become known as “Chuu Heart”. Hearing this request, the members acted accordingly to the wishes of fans without hesitation.

Chuu

Loona released their first Japanese single, “HULA HOOP/StarSeed -Kakusei-” in September 2021. In September 2022, they dropped a new Japanese single, “LUMINOUS”, which conveys the message that anyone can freely express themselves and shine.

On the other hand, Loona’s agency Blockberry Creative said on November 25th, “Recently, there has been a report related to Chuu’s verbal abuse and power trip towards our staff. We have decided to take responsibility and remove Chuu from LOONA.”

Regarding this, Chuu’s agency told OSEN, “We are in the process of sorting out our position. We will make an official statement later. We ask for your understanding that it is difficult to give a clear answer at this time.”
