“Little Women” reps address poster similarity to Japanese brand, “We’ll pay more attention”

The representative of K-drama “Little Women” has issued an official response to the controversy over poster plagiarism.

On September 5, a representative of tvN’s new drama “Little Women” told Newsen, “The poster is a teaser poster with the concept of the three sisters walking toward a bright place and their shadows. It was made by a company in charge of design.”

Adding, “In the future, we will pay more attention through a thorough preliminary review.”

Earlier on this day, among viewers and netizens, suspicions arose that a teaser poster for ‘Little Women’ was very similar to the contents of a Japanese cosmetics brand.

The poster in question is a sky-blue poster that shows the three female characters walking on the skyline in the middle of the poster. It was pointed out that the poster designer of ‘Little Women’ may have copied the colors as well as the composition of the characters walking from the cosmetic brand’s poster.

Meanwhile, the first episode of “Little Women” will be aired on September 9.
