Lisa has put a lot of time and work into her solo debut release.
At midnight on August 25, YG Entertainment uploaded a photo with hashtags: “#LISA FIRST SINGLE ALBUM LALISA TEASER POSTER FIRST SINGLE ALBUM LALISA 2021.09.10 12 AM (EST) / 1 PM (KST)” on BLACKPINK’s official SNS, raising high expectations from fans.
Right after that, on the afternoon of August 26, YG also revealed the images of the physical album LALISA. Lisa’s album includes many different accessories such as: box, CD, Photobook (88 pages), photocard, gold photocard (rare), gold ticket (super rare)… The album will have 2 versions: Black ver. and Gold ver., it would be hard to choose which album is better!
The photos of the two albums impressed fans since they appeared so gorgeous and luxurious. But fans were more amazed when Lisa herself took part in the album design process. Lisa has clearly devoted her entire intellect, effort, and passion to her first “brainchild.”
Many fans, on the other hand, laughed at YG’s easy naming right after the album name “LALISA” was unveiled. Previously, YG named Jennie’s solo album SOLO, Rosé’s -R- and now using Lisa’s real name, Lisa. However, the name LALISA has a deeper meaning than many fans believe.
YG’s representative shared with the press about Lisa’s project this time:
“Through the album title “LALISA”, we can see that Lisa’s own confidence and strong aspirations are clearly expressed. As the title is given to them – “global girl group”, now all attention is on her shining new challenging journey as a solo artist as well as a member of BLACKPINK.”
Many internet users also agree that the name LALISA alone sounds too elegant and luxurious, reflecting BLACKPINK’s maknae’s own nature.
