Lim Ji Yeon’s Intense Acting and Intriguing Plot Raise Anticipation for Thriller Drama “Lies Hidden in My Garden”

Two character teasers for “Lies Hidden in My Garden” starring Kim Tae Hee and Lim Ji Yeon have been unveiled.

On May 29th, the production team of the upcoming drama “Lies Hidden in My Garden” released two character teasers featuring the two main characters Moon Joo Ran (Kim Tae Hee) and Chu Sang Eun (Lim Ji Yeon).

“Lies Hidden in My Garden” is a suspense thriller based on the bestselling novel of the same name, where two women living completely different lives meet due to a mysterious smell coming from the backyard. It will premiere on June 19th.

Directed by “hitmaker” Jung Ji Hyun, who received much praise for the dramas “Search: WWW” and “Twenty-Five Twenty-One,” the drama features a solid cast including Kim Tae Hee and Lim Ji Yeon, Kim Sung Oh, raising expectations for a well-made thriller that combines artistic sensibility and commercial success.

In the released video, Joo Ran’s chilling remark, “I remember that smell,” captivates the viewers. As a character who gets caught in confusion after living a picture-perfect life in a perfect house but is thrown into chaos due to the smell of a corpse in the backyard, Joo Ran’s remark hints at the fact that the smell she mentions is the smell of a corpse.

Furthermore, Joo Ran’s disturbing actions, such as digging a shovel into the backyard like a person consumed by madness and peering beyond the curtain with terrified eyes, continue to immerse the viewers in an inescapable sense of mystery. This raises curiosity about the secret that Joo Ran is harboring.

On the other hand, in the character teaser video for Sang Eun, a shocking event surrounding her is revealed for the first time. Her husband, who used to subject her to violence, suddenly died.

Sang Eun nonchalantly says, as if telling someone else’s story, “My husband is dead,” astonishing the viewers. Moreover, Sang Eun’s vacant expression as she eats ice cream in the bathroom, her face showing a mix of laughter and tears, and her peculiar behavior of wearing mourning clothes while chewing on an apple create a sense of vulnerability and eeriness. This raises tension about the sudden death of her husband.
