Rapper Lee Young Ji, who was absent from the CSAT because of oversleeping, is drawing attention for an Instagram post on the day before this year’s SAT.
On December 3, 2020, Lee Young Ji was unable to take the CSAT (College Scholastic Ability Test), which was the first to be held during the COVID-19 outbreak.
At that time, the female rapper updated her Instagram story at around 10:30 AM (KST) on the day of the test, saying, “It’s true. I only woke up now because I was nervous and couldn’t hear the alarm”.
She also encouraged other people taking the test and added, “I eat well and live well. Everyone, don’t be too discouraged. You guys are really the best.”
According to Lee Young Ji, she set alarms every 5 minutes from 7:10 AM, but still failed to wake up on time. She also drew attention for expressing an optimistic attitude despite missing the test, and posted a video of herself enjoying the lunch box prepared by her mother at home.
Ever since, Lee Young Ji’s story of oversleeping is mentioned every year, whenever the CSAT season arrives.
2 years later, on November 16th – the day before the 2022 CSAT, Lee Young Ji posted on her Instagram story and immediately captured the attention of fans. In particular, she showed her messy hair and said, “Go for the exam. I love you. Sleep warmly today.”
It is speculated that the phrase “sleep warmly” is a reference to her mistake in the past.
On the other hand, Lee Young Ji, who made her face known through the 2019 Mnet program “High School Rapper 3”, said in a past interview that she is “not interested in studying” and so had no intention of going to college.
Recently, she showed off her improved rapping skills on Mnet’s “Show Me the Money 11” and enjoyed the honor of receiving an “All Pass”.
