Lee Seung Gi shows support for “Peak Time” participants, “Idols whose activities have been suspended due to conflicts with agencies”

JTBC’s “Peak Time” judges teaser was released on January 22nd.

Previously, the production team of “Peak Time” revealed the list of judges including MC Lee Seung Gi, Kyu Hyun, Tiffany Young, Jay Park, Kim Sung Kyu, Lee Gi Kwang, Shim Jae Won, and Ryan Juhn.

The MC and the judges pointed out the sad stories of the idols participating in “Peak Time” based on their own experiences. Song Mino said, “After debuting at a small, fledgling agency, they could not succeed.” Lee Seung Gi said, “There are friends whose activities have been suspended due to conflicts with their agencies.” He also talked about these idols’ reduced opportunity to stand on stage due to the pandemic. 

Ryan Juhn mentioned the potential of the contestants, saying, “These participants can grow but have not had the chance.” The other judges confirmed that “Peak Time” participants have “sharp choreography, vocals, and teamwork”, showing their belief that they will shine.

Lastly, the judges did not forget to show encouragement to the contestants, “Don’t be nervous. If you are desperate, isn’t the time to meet your peak time?”

Meanwhile, “Peak Time” is the first survival program in the history of idol auditions as a “team competition.” Idols who have already debuted will compete for the position of “Worldwide Idol.” It will premiere on February 15.
