Two leading actors of Korea’s entertainment industry are considering the casting offers of upcoming drama “Ask the stars” with a budget of up to 40 billion won.

On November 18, Lee Min Ho was reportedly offered to star in the drama “Ask the stars” written by screenwriter Seo Sook Hyang. Lee Min Ho‘s agency MYM Entertainment stated that “Ask the Stars” was one of the projects the actor was offered a role in. However, nothing is confirmed yet.

Previously, the news of “Queen of ratings” Gong Hyo Jin’s drama comeback attracted much attention. According to a source of YTN Star from the actress’s agency, she is in talks of accepting the offer to appear in this project by screenwriter Seo Sook Hyang.

It is known that Gong Hyo Jin and Seo Sook Hyang have collaborated in 2 works “Pasta” and “Don’t dare to dream“.  Both works achieved impressive ratings and were warmly received by the audience.

Ask the stars” will be produced by the company Keyeast and is the first Korean drama set in space. Screenwriter Seo Sook Hyang, a master of the romantic comedy genre, has been planning this project for 3 years. The film will be marketed as a “space station romantic comedy” about a space tourist and an astronaut, with a production budget of more than 40 billion won, including the cost of building the space station.

With this level of investment, “Ask the stars” is one of the TV blockbusters that are highly anticipated next year.  Therefore, the public is looking forward to the appearance of two top Korean actors.  With the fame of Lee Min Ho and Gong Hyo Jin, “Ask the stars” promises to create a craze throughout Asia.

Currently, Lee Min Ho has completed filming for the drama “Panchiko” scheduled to premiere in 2022. Gong Hyo Jin is hosting the reality show “No impact day“.  Gong Hyo Jin‘s most recent drama is “When the Camellia Blooms“, co-starring with Kang Ha Neul.  The work received the Baeksang Award and the actress also received her first Daesang in her career at the 2019 KBS Drama Awards.
