Despite having made a name for herself in the ballet world, this Japanese girl gave up everything to be a Kpop idol.
Way before their debut date, HYBE’s new girlgroup LE SSERAFIM is already receiving a lot of attention from Kpop fans. Among 6 members of the lineup, Nakamura Kazuha stands out, making headlines with her visuals and impressive portfolio.
The fifth piece of LE SSERAFIM was born in 2003 and stands at 5’7 ft tall (1.74 m). In fact, the CEO of Source Music (a subsidiary of HYBE) went as far as to travel to the Netherlands to recruit her. Teaser photos revealed Kazuha to be a graceful beauty that exudes elegance.
Most impressive of all though is the idol’s background. Kazuha has attended various prestigious schools and academies, including the Hashimoto Sachiyo Ballet School & Jr in Japan, Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow, Russia, the Royal Ballet School in the UK, and since 2020, the Dutch National Ballet Academy in the Netherlands.
From 2016 to 2019 alone, Kazuha has earned herself a wide variety of accomplishments in the ballet world. These include a gold medal at the 2016 Japan MIE Ballet Competition, J1A Division; a bronze medal at the 2017 Biwa Yokohama Western Dance Competition; as well as a gold medal and the Grand Prix Award at the 2017 WorldDream Ballet Competition, Middle School Division.
She has also placed 2nd in the 2017 International Ballet Competition, Asian Grand Prix, JB Division; 2nd place in the 2017 Victoire Ballet Competition, Kobe Junior High School Division; and 1st place in the 2018 and 2019 Victoire Ballet Competition, Kobe Junior High School Division.
From 2018 to 2019, Kazuha also participated in the Polish-Japanese performance of “Youth Spirit of Dance”, and was a Pa Keita soloist and part of the main cast for “Fragment”. Finally, in 2020, the idol performance of “Romeo & Juliet” was chosen to represent her school, the Dutch National Ballet Academy, at the Het National Ballet Gala.
Despite having such a promising ballet career, Kazuha shocked people when she chose to drop it all and entered Source Music as a Kpop idol.
Currently, the idol is high-anticipated among Kpop fans, and expected to become one of the more popular members of her group. She is also praised for her funny personality, which was showcased via previous TikTok videos.
LE SSERAFIM is a Kpop group under Source Music Entertainment. As the first girl group to debut under Hybe Labels, LE SSERAFIM is currently the talk of the town. The group’s first ep will be produced by Bang Si Hyuk – who single-handedly created the worldwide idol group BTS. The art director Kim Seong Hyun, who is in charge of BTS, will also contribute to this new debut.
