Billboard has just released a list of boy groups’ 100 best songs of all time voted by the magazine’s critics. In addition to popular European-American bands, from young groups to legendaries, unexpectedly, there are many artists from Korea like BTS, Big Bang, Seventeen, SHINee, Wanna One, TVXQ, EXO and VIXX.
For BTS, not only 1 but there are 2 songs of them appear on this list. Accordingly, “Blood, Sweat & Tears” ranked very high at No. 16, ranking behind only “big boys” like Backstreet Boys, The Jackson 5, The Beatles or the world’s No. 1 boy group like One Direction. “DNA” ranked at No.49 of the chart.
Big Bang also has a significant rank of No.27 with “Fantastic Baby“. Next is TVXQ – “Mirotic” (No.41), EXO – “Growl” (No.58), Wanna One – “Energetic” (No. 62), SHINee – “Lucifer” (No.67), Seventeen – “Adore You” (No.78) and VIXX – “Dynamite” also has a position at No.87.
Topping the Top 100 is the Backstreet Boys hit “I Want It That Way“. Follow with the song “I Want You Back” (The Jackson 5), and “I Want to Hold Your Hand” by The Beatles. One Direction, though disbanded, also owns the world’s best song “What Makes You Beautiful“.
