The public is currently searching for the identity of the Korean celebrity based on the brief reports on drug trafficking from Vietnam. A Vietnamese drug dealer from this organization was also caught.
On September 8, MBC published breaking news about a Korean celebrity, causing a stir among the Korean public. Accordingly, a 35-year-old male rapper surnamed Kim, a former member of a hip hop group, is currently being investigated for allegations of using, possessing, purchasing and selling new synthetic drugs. In early August, the police searched Kim‘s office in the basement of a house in Seongnam, Gyeonggi and confiscated 7kg of synthetic drugs, worth up to 1.7 billion won. These include synthetic marijuana, which is 15 times more hallucinogenic than regular marijuana.
During the investigation, rapper Kim confessed that he received drugs from a gang member operating in Daejeon. In addition, Kim was also taught by a drug organization in Vietnam how to produce synthetic drugs. Since then, this rapper has been manufacturing and distributing drugs from smuggled undiluted liquid.
Currently, the police have arrested rapper Kim and gangsters, as well as a Vietnamese drug dealer operating in Korea. The drug crime investigation team under the Seoul Police Department is also continuing to expand the investigation to catch more accomplices and drug users from this ring.
This is not the first time rapper Kim has been arrested for using drugs. In 2011, he was sentenced to 2 years of suspended prison for smoking marijuana, but has since committed crime again. The incident surprised netizens, who are currently searching for the identity of this male rapper.
