Kim Seon-ho to star in “Sad Tropics” as scheduled: “I’ll repay the opportunity you gave me”

Actor Kim Seon-ho, who dropped out of projects he was appearing on due to suspicions that he urged his girlfriend to have an abortion, will participate in the movie “Sad Tropics” as scheduled. 

Investment and distribution company NEW announced on Nov 1st, “After much consideration, the production team of ‘Sad Tropics’ decided to film the movie with actor Kim Seon-ho within this year. It is scheduled to begin shooting in December.” Salt Entertainment – Kim Seon-ho‘s agency – shared, “We will prepare hard to repay the opportunity you gave us.”

Kim Seon-ho dropped out of KBS 2TV’s entertainment show “2 Days 1 Night” last month as he was embroiled in abortion controversy. After that, his appearances in movies “2 O’Clock Date” and “Dog Days” were canceled one after another. NEW also held a meeting over whether Kim Seon-ho should be removed or not, but finally decided not to replace the actor.

“Sad Tropics” is Kim Seon-ho’s debut movie which is directed by Park Hoon-jung, who produced “New World” and “The Witch”. It tells the story of a man who was born by a Korean father and a Filipino mother. He dreams of becoming a boxer and comes to Korea to find his father.
