Kim Sejeong gets praised for her brilliant response when being called “a puppet idol who makes money by singing and dancing”

Kim Sejeong receives many compliments for her excellent response to an anti-fan’s comment.

Kpop idols seem to have the dream job that everyone admires. However, on social media platforms, there are often many malicious and disrespectful comments about the idol profession. Netizens recently reposted and shared a video related to this issue. The video is cut from the live broadcast of Kim Sejeong (former I.O.I/gugudan member) at the end of 2019.

Specifically, an anti fan left a comment, “Aren’t Kpop idols puppets who make money by only singing and dancing?”. Sejeong read the comments out loud for viewers to hear, then quickly responded, “So what about it? Everyone has to make money. And we’re good at it. Idols are very talented and pretty. I’m very proud of this job though. Isn’t it cool to make money by singing and dancing?“.

Sejeong’s smart, polite and quick response has received a lot of compliments from netizens for her passion and efforts she put into the idol job.

Sejeong is considered an all-rounded idol with impressive singing, dancing, acting skills, along with wit and intelligence when appearing in variety shows. She became famous after participating in the survival show Produce 101 and debuting in the group I.O.I. After I.O.I disbanded, Sejeong was active with the new girl group gugudan.  Currently, Sejeong is focusing on individual activities. Besides singing, she also stars in different films and dramas. She has left a positive impression on the projects she takes part in.
