Kim Jong Kook criticized the excessive diet routines for a good-looking body profile only, “Life is a movie that never ends”
Singer Kim Jong Kook raised his opinion on a good body profile and the diet routines for overweight people.
On August 19, Kim Jong Kook uploaded a video on his Youtube channel, ‘GYMJongKook’, titled “I will eat the food deliciously…”.
In the video, Kim Jong Kook held a food tour together with his manager, Kim Gap Jin, who also appeared on “My Little Old Boy, and his close brother, Chun Sik. He said, “Obesity and overweight people are actually really interested in dieting and doing exercises”. He added, “Talking about the general situation that happens to most overweight people, I will discuss what I think is a good way that overweight people should diet.”
Kim Jong Kook asked when did Kim Gap Jin become overweight. Kim Gap Jin answered, “I looked fat since I was born. I was already 3.9kg when my mother gave birth to me”. Chun Sik shared, “I was born healthily, and my parents raised me so well. I’m not as fat as a pig, but I’m kinda muscular. However, after I stopped doing exercises, I weighed up to 158kg”. Chun Sik added to his story, “At the age of 21, I started dieting, and after 6 months, I was able to lose 85kg. Now I weigh between 128 and 130kg.” Kim Gap Jin also said he is currently 130kg weight at the moment.
Kim Gap Jin said, “I began to gain weight since I started working out with Jong Kook. Jong Kook ate a lot, and he wanted me to eat with him. Then it turned out that Jong Kook and I had different eating habits. Even when he eats soup or stew, he only eats the ingredients and leaves out the soup liquid”. Kim Jong Kook replied, “The most important thing to me is food and doing exercises, but Gap Jin does not take it that seriously. I believe doing exercises is even more important than food.”
Chun Sik expressed, “It seems like an excuse; however, I run a restaurant, and my job requires me to meet a lot of people every day. Therefore, Even if I go on a diet routine for 3-4 months, it still results in nothing”. Jong Kook confidently pointed out, “I will let you know what a true excuse is”. He explained, “When I work out, the most important thing to me is to find out the best guidelines that would truly improve my results”. Chun Sik shared that he wanted to build a body that resembles Ma Dong Seok. Kim Jong Kook answered, “That’s good. There is also Bautista, isn’t it? Setting a goal is a good way if you want to achieve something.”
Kim Jong Kook said, “People always said they would work out for this summer. That doesn’t make any sense. Why don’t they look forward to next year or the following year? You cannot form a good body just by working out for a short period. The results of exercising can only be seen after 3-4 years after you begin the routine.” He added, “If you are aiming to lose weight only for the summer, it’s not good for your health, and you will not be able to maintain a good body shape. Many people do aerobic to lose weight, and that’s how they gain weight but have a thinner face.”
Moreover, giving opinions about body profile, he said, “I’m satisfied with myself, but I can’t understand why other people bet their life on just a photo?”. He added, “Your life doesn’t depend on one picture. Life is a movie that never ends. Don’t try to lose weight as fast as possible; try to enjoy your life doing exercises for 4-5 years or even for the rest of your life.”
Kim Jong Kook also said, “Challenging yourself to have a good body profile is nothing wrong. I respect people who set goals and start doing exercises. However, what I want to emphasize is that we shouldn’t do excessive diet routines just for a beautiful photo because it could be harmful to your health.”
