Kim Go Eun’s prime cells are awakened by Park Jin Young’s caress in 2nd poster for “Yumi’s Cells 2” 

The second chapter of Kim Go Eun’s life will soon be unveiled in season 2 of “Yumi’s Cells”. 

“Yumi’s Cells” season 2, which has been confirmed to premiere in June, dropped its second poster on April 29th. The beginning of a change that awakens Yumi (Kim Go Eun) and her prime cells piques viewers’ curiosity. 

“Yumi’s Cells” follows Yumi, an ordinary young woman who eats, loves, and grows with the brain cells in her head. The first season broadcast last year received love for realistically portraying the daily and love life of a typical office worker, Yumi, on the whimsical imagination of the cells. In particular, the introduction of a new creative format and refreshing attempt to combine live-action and 3D animation through “Yumi’s Cells” gained many positive reviews. 

Following the first poster teasing a cheerful pink return of Yumi and her cells, the second poster released today hints at Yumi’s exciting changes and heats up anticipations for season 2. The poster shows Yumi gazing lovingly with a shy smile and eyes lighting up at a familiar silhouette. The man who is patting Yumi’s head with a soft touch is her co-worker Yoo Babi (GOT7’s Park Jin Young). Babi’s unseen expression while having his eyes fixed on Yumi raises viewers’ excitement about the two’s love story that will be told in season 2.

The change in Yumi’s hairstyle, from short hair in season 1 to long hair in season 2, also makes viewers wonder about the timeline and what Yumi and Babi have gone through together to grow closer. The phrase written on the poster, “The cells have begun to react again,” seems to imply that Babi will wake up Yumi’s sleeping cells. 

In the previous season, Yumi grew as she dated and parted ways from Gu Woong (Ahn Bo Hyun). She also moved from accounting to the marketing department after she was encouraged by Babi to take on a new job. In the second season, the story of Yumi and her cells standing on the borderline between dream and love, will be depicted.

“Yumi’s Cells 2” will unravel the realistic story and emotions that anyone would have experienced at least once in their lives. The next chapter of Yumi’s life promises to stimulate viewers’ sympathy and excitement cells. Moreover, the chemistry between Kim Go Eun, the “real-life version of Yumi”, and Park Jin Young, who will capture women’s hearts with his soft charm as Yumi’s next boyfriend, is worth looking forward to.
