Actor Kang Ki-young revealed how he felt when he was offered a role in ENA’s drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”.
On July 21st, Netflix posted a video showing Kang Ki-young, who plays Jung Myung-seok in “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”, answering several questions from fans on their official Instagram account.
When asked, “Which actor has the highest synchronization rate with their character?”, Kang Ki-young said, “Of course, it’s Woo Young-woo”. She added, “I can’t imagine any other actor who can play Woo Young-woo better than Park Eun-bin. Woo Young-woo has to be played by Park Eun-bin unconditionally.”
Regarding his feeling when he was offered a role in the drama, Kang Ki-young said, “When I received the first part of the script, I already thought ‘I will definitely do this. I have to do this work even if I have to grab the legs of the writer and the director’s trousers’.”
The actor also revealed some behind-the-scenes stories about doing adlibs in the drama. He said, “When I first met lawyer Woo Young-woo, I said ‘That’s very funny’ with an unfavorable expression. The director seems to like that scene a lot. It was used in the drama preview and the 5-minute making video.”
He added, “I don’t know how other ad-libs scenes will be used. Please look forward to it.”
