Jo In-sung did volunteer work at a briquette service campaign, proving that his heart is as beautiful as his visual

Many Korean artists have recently joined a briquette support service held by JTS Korea.

Road Friend”, a volunteer organization for broadcasters, movie & theater actors, and JTS Korea, an international relief organization, held briquettes voluntary service to support residents of Guryong Village in Gangnam, Seoul, on December 12th.

Although this campaign had been steadily carried out twice a year on Children’s Day and the end of the year, it was regrettable that it could not be conducted regularly due to the aftermath of the pandemic spread during the past 2 years.

Celebrities, such as Jo In-sung, Im Se-mi, Jo Hye-jung, Jeon Sung-hwan, Park Hae-won, Lee Hyun-jae, Yoon Sang-woo, Park Ji-yoon, Jang Jin-woo, Jang Min-seok, Park Seung-min, members of idol group DONGKIDZ – Kyungyoon, Jaechan, Jonghyeong, etc. participated in the briquette sharing service this year.

Stars who joined the volunteer work despite their busy schedules shared, “We’re happy to be helpful like this”. Writer Noh Hee-kyung, who has been doing social volunteer work steadily with “Road Friend” since 2004, said, “I want to do this again, no, every year from now on. Above all else, I feel good being able to share briquettes that can convey warmth to people. I’m so grateful for this opportunity,” she said, expressing her intention to continue the event every year.

“Road Friend” has delivered a total of 3,000 briquettes to 15 households, which is 200 briquettes per household on December 12th. In 2020, JTS Korea began providing briquettes after hearing an article that the sponsorship of briquettes support groups decreased due to the pandemic. This year, they shared their warm hearts by providing 36,600 briquettes to a total of 122 households in 28 regions nationwide.

All events were held in compliance with the government’s quarantine guidelines.
