Jisoo (Blackpink) and Yeri (Red Velvet) starring in dramas: involved in controversy or getting support?

 Jisoo – Blackpink

Over the past few days, the drama Snowdrop has become a focus of Korean media when faced with a wave of objections from the audience. The main reason is that the drama is judged to include many unreasonable, even somewhat absurd, historically incorrect details.

In particular, the actor and actress taking on the main roles of the drama, Jung Hae In and Jisoo (Blackpink) also got involved. To avoid the ongoing controversies, JTBC recently announced that they will change Jisoo’s character name.  Because the name of Jisoo’s character in the drama is considered sensitive and inappropriate.

In the past few days, Jisoo (Blackpink) also did not share any drama-related information on her personal Instagram to avoid unwanted controversy.  Many viewers called the female idol “unlucky” when the first lead role in her career has been involved with controversy.

 Yeri – Red Velvet

Red Velvet’s maknae Yeri has just received an offer to star in the drama “Blue Birthday” and she is positively considering this offer.

“Blue Birthday” is a Korean romance drama in which the main character faces past events through mysterious photos left behind by a friend who took their life.

If she accepts the offer to star in “Blue Birthday”, Yeri’s acting career will be much brighter.  Before this, the Red Velvet member turned to acting by taking part in “Drama Stage 2021-Mint Condition”. Upon seeing this news, fans have shown their support for the female idol and hoped that she would participate in this drama.  It is known that this drama is scheduled to start shooting and will soon be released in the second half of this year.
