Jimin (BTS) Tops the List of Highest Media Value  Stars at Paris Men’s Fashion Week 2023

The media value that Jimin (BTS) brought to Paris Men’s Fashion Week was staggering, surpassing that of many other stars such as Kylie Jenner and Cha Eun Woo.

About a month ago, Jimin (BTS) caused a stir at Paris Fashion Week. The event has ended for quite a while but the echoes still linger. On the morning of February 22nd, media outlets announced a list of the top 10 Instagram accounts that brought the highest media value (EMV) at Paris Men’s Fashion Week. EMV can be understood as the amount of money that brands earn from non-paid advertising activities.

In the ranking, Jimin surprisingly topped the list with a media value of up to 17.1 million USD for Dior. With only 2 posts, the BTS member contributed 54% of Dior’s total EMV at Paris Men’s Fashion Week.

Apart from Jimin, many other famous artists also appeared on the list, including names such as Kylie Jenner (ranked 2nd), two SEVENTEEN members Jeonghan and Hoshi (ranked 3rd and 6th respectively), Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp (ranked 4th), Cha Eun Woo (ranked 8th), and more.

The EMV number that Jimin brought in is still far ahead of the other names on the list. It’s worth noting that even though Kylie Jenner was ranked right after the BTS member, the media value she generated was only about half of Jimin.

Besides, the public also noticed that Kpop idols accounted for nearly half of the positions on the ranking. This proves that the Korean music wave is having a profound impact on the global entertainment industry.
