Once accused Netflix of favoring Korean dramas instead of promoting his show, Jay Chou is back with another questionable move.

Taiwan’s top star Jay Chou drew attention once again with an unexpected move on Oct 4th after his complaint towards Netflix last year, which accused the streaming service of favoring Korea only.

Jay Chou posted a photo related to Netflix’s Korean series “Squid Game” on his Instagram. It was a photo of his acquaintance’s face edited onto the Younghee robot of the “Green Light, Red Light” game scene.

He even used the Korean hashtag of “Squid Game”.

Jay Chou spent the time to edit the photo, find and use the Korean hashtag when he was in France at the time. However, the post was deleted a few days later.

What happened? What changed? Did he suddenly become conscious of his past remarks about how “Netflix favors Korea only”?

Many fans were curious about the reason why he deleted the photo, to which Jay Chou himself answered. “There”s no need to ask me why I deleted it. It was purely because it didn’t match my SNS feed”. He deleted his post related to “Squid Game”, which he doesn’t usually do, because it doesn’t suit his SNS feed.

Jay Chou’s Instagram feed is plastered with scenery, people he met, and the paintings he saw in France. He simply went with the hype for a moment then deleted it. Meanwhile, Jay Chou is staying in France to film season 2 of Netflix’s travel reality “J-Style Trip”, as well as music videos and CFs.
