Actor Jang Hyuk revealed that he had concerns about his appearance in the new tvN drama “Family.”
On April 12th, the press conference of the new tvN Monday-Tuesday drama “Family” was held online. Director Jang Jung Do and actors Jang Hyuk, Jang Nara, Chae Jung An, and Kim Nam Hee attended the event.
Jang Hyuk’s appearance in which his eyebrows were missing, revealed through still photos released by the “Family” production team, received a lot of attention.
Regarding this, Jang Hyuk said, “My eyebrows were not completely gone. I received help from makeup and CG. All of the actors, including Jang Nara, Chae Jung An, and Kim Nam Hee, looked great, but the only thing that bothered me was my eyebrows.”
He emphasized, “I didn’t have any concerns about anything else, but my eyebrows were the only thing that made me hesitate. I have never tried it even once before. It was the first time in my life.“
He also explained, “I did it for the challenge, but I realized that I needed my eyebrows.”
Meanwhile, tvN’s new drama “Family” is a thrilling family spy comedy about an agent in the National Intelligence Service who disguises himself as an ordinary office worker and dreams of a perfect family, and his wife who dreams of protecting the family.
Jang Hyuk plays the role of Kwon Do Hoon, an agent in the National Intelligence Service who pretends to be a trading company manager outside the home but is the lowest-ranking member of his family on the inside. Jang Nara plays the role of Kang Yoo Ra, a housewife who ranks first in the family in terms of power.
“Family” marks the fourth collaboration between Jang Hyuk and Jang Nara. It will air its first episode on April 17th.
