Jang Dong-gun’s wife Ko So-young also voiced out about “the King of Tears, Lee Bang-won”’s horse abuse controversy

Actor Ko So-young criticized the controversy over animal abuse of the drama “The King of Tears, Lee Bang-won.”

On the afternoon of Jan 20th, Ko So-young said on her personal SNS, “That’s too much. I feel sorry for them ㅠㅠ,” along with a capture from a drama broadcast screen where a horse was falling in the wood.

The photo uploaded by Ko So-young is a scene from KBS 1TV’s “The King of Tears, Lee Bang-won,” which started its first broadcast in December last year, and the horse’s body can be seen turned over 90 degrees and its head plummeted to the floor.

In this regard, the Korean Animal Welfare Association strongly criticized this scene of “The King of Tears, Lee Bang-won” and pointed out, “We express great concern that the horse may have been seriously harmed,” adding, “It is a shameful behavior against the current era to treat animals as props for broadcasting filming done by KBS, a public broadcaster.”

In fact, like how the Korean Animal Welfare Association has feared, this scene of “The King of Tears, Lee Bang-won” was also exposed in the behind-the-scene video that they tied the horse’s ankle with a rope and forcibly knocked it down.

Therefore, Ko So-young, who is showing extraordinary affection for animals because she is raising a dog as well, expressed her regret over this.

Meanwhile, Ko So-young married Jang Dong-gun in 2010 and has one son and one daughter together.
