The three Japanese members of IZ*ONE have left for home. Sakura and Hitomi’s moods were quite opposite. Sakura was calm and comfortable while Hitomi couldn’t hide her emotions.
IZ*ONE was formed as a project group through Mnet’s idol survival show “Produce 48”.
On October 29, 2018, the group debuted as a temporary group that would promote for two and a half years. Mnet announced IZ*ONE’s activities would end in April as planned in a statement last month and the group held their final online concert, “ONE, THE Tale”, on March 13 and 14.
On the morning of April 29, Honda Hitomi, Miyakawi Sakura, and Yabuki Nako were at the Incheon International Airport. Three idols are on their way back to Japan when the IZONE project contract ended. Before boarding time, Japan line stayed for a few minutes to wave and say goodbye to the Korean media and fans.
Hitomi couldn’t control her emotion when she saw the fans. She burst into tears at the airport at the last moment. Most likely, Hitomi will come back to Japan and promote as the NMB48 group’s member.
Nako was in tears. It seems that she is going to work in her hometown instead of coming back to Korea.
Sakura is the person who kept a calm attitude and comforts the other 2 Japanese members of IZ*ONE who were crying. She was rumored to be joining Big Hit Entertainment (now HYBE) last month but the company confirmed that nothing had been determined.
Accordingly, Miyawaki Sakura shared during her radio show, “After the concert, there was a period when we didn’t have any scheduled activities, so we spent time together at the dorm, went out for meals, or went traveling.” She added, “I will use everything I learned and gained through IZ*ONE as well as everything I learned from WIZ*ONE (IZ*ONE’s fan club) and live my life without regrets.”
