ITZY’s performance gained the highest number of views among all 2021 MAMA stages, proving to be KPOP’s Stage Master
Girl group ITZY excited fans all around the world with their explosive performance.
ITZY debuted in February 2019 with the song “DALLA DALLA”. They have presented many eye-catching performances with great energy and impressive dance skills in their promotion activities and earned the title “Stage Master”. ITZY made their latest comeback with their first full album “LOCO” in September this year.
At the 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards (2021 MAMA) held on December 11th, ITZY performed a special stage and showed the essence of K-performance.
“Mafia In The Morning” and “LOCO” were re-arranged to suit a grand-scale stage and added more details like a dance break to catch the viewers’ attention. In particular, Ryujin did a bold and impressive action acting, collaborating with actor Heo Sung-tae to create the feel of watching an action movie.
The video of this performance, which was a collaboration between a “famous girl group” and a “famous actor”, surpassed 4.22 million views as of 8 A.M on December 13th. Therefore, this stage has achieved the highest number of views among the entire stage content of 2021 MAMA uploaded on Mnet’s official Youtube Channel “Mnet KPOP”. In addition, on the morning of December 12th, ITZY‘s ‘2021 MAMA’ performance also ranked No.1 in Youtube video worldwide trending, proving the girl group’s global popularity.
Repaying the enthusiastic love and interest from domestic and foreign fans, JYP Entertainment unveiled “ITZY Performance Practice | MAMA 2021” on ITZY‘s official Youtube Channel. In the practice video, ITZY thrilled the viewers with their intense charisma and showed how a high-quality stage was born. In addition, they also showed the perfect group choreography synchronization as well as the members’ unique charms and outstanding dance skills.
Earlier, through their Performance Practice video for the “2021 Asia Artist Awards”, ITZY also showed a splendid stage that is full of charisma, proving their name as “Stage Master”.
ITZY is a regular guest on Mnet’s digital studio M2 special dance channel “STUDIO CHOOM” and is also gaining high YouTube views. This year, Yeji, Chaeryeong, and Ryujin were selected as the main characters of the ‘Artist of the Month’ content on this channel in March, August, and November. The three members boasted their capabilities with different dances and charms.
The year-end performance of ITZY is drawing keen thanks to their distinct personality and skills, solidifying the girl group’s position as a representative of KPOP’s 4th generation.
