The upcoming ISAC is gathering attention for the unfairness in the number of seats for each fandom.
MBC’s upcoming episode of “Idol Star Athletics Championships” (ISAC), which will be aired this Mid-Fall Festival, is reported to be filmed on August 20th and August 27th. After announcing this year’s line up, MBC has finally revealed the number of seats given to each fandom.

Below is the list announced by MBC:
Female groups:
TWICE, G-Friend: 100 seats
Red Velvet, Cosmic Girls: 80 seats
MOMOLAND, CLC, gugudan, PRISTIN, Weki Meki, APRIL, ELRIS, fromis_9, (G)I-DLE: 50 seats
Dreamcatcher: 40 seats
GWSN: 10 seats
Male groups:
SEVENTEEN: 120 seats
VIXX, NU’EST W: 100 seats
ASTRO, NCT, UP10TION, Golden Child, ONF, The Boyz, Stray Kids, UNB, Kim Dong Han: 80 seats
IN2IT, MXM: 50 seats
Woo Jinyoung & Kim Hyunsoo: 40 seats
*Wanna One will reportedly take part in the filming on the 27th only due to scheduled international activities.

As it can be seen in the list, compared to the last ISAC in 2018 Lunar New Year Holiday, there are some differences in the number of seats assigned to each fandom.
In term of girl groups, TWICE is no longer the group whose fans have the most seats with 150 seats, as this year the seats for ONCEs are 100, as many as Buddies (G–Friend’s fans). Meanwhile, Red Velvet and Cosmic Girls’ fandom are given 10 more seats, which means their fans have 80 seats in total, still less than TWICE’s and G–Friend’s. Surprisingly, GWSN, a group that hasn’t debuted yet, was given 10 seats for their fans.
Regarding boy groups, it is easy to notice that the seats given to these groups’ fandoms are more than girl groups’. Especially, 120 fans of SEVENTEEN are allowed to go in to cheer for their idols, making them the group with the most seats given to their fans in this event.
