Hwipalam, uhhh, Hwipalam palam palam…
On August 2nd, iKON made an official return to the K-pop race with their mini-album “New Kids: Continue” and MV for “Killing Me”, their theme song. One day right after the group came back, it was quickly discovered by fans that the famous lines in the song “Whistle” of Black Pink – “Hwipalam, uhhh, Hwipalam palam palam” suddenly appeared in the sub-title song – “FREEDOM” of YG’s boys.
As far as known, B.I (iKON), Teddy and 8 other musicians were the ones who co-wrote BlackPink‘s “Whistle” but eventually he did not remember what part of the song he had written. And now, fans have been able to believe that the lyrics written by B.I are the “extraterrestrial” lines in BlackPink‘s “Whistle” – “Hwipalam, uhhh, Hwipalam palam palam“. More specially, these lines are the killing parts in both two songs.
Whistle was one of two debut songs of girl group Black Pink on August 8th in 2016. Shortly after its release, the song has gained a lot of achievements for these 4 girls and especially got them a Perfect All Kill – one of the hardest titles to achieve in Korea.
B.I (iKON) is a great singer who also has a talent for composing songs. Whistle is not the first hit that he made and before this, iKON’s “My Type”, also written by B.I has also got an All-kill and stayed No.1 on 6 consecutive days. At the beginning of this year, B.I and his fellow member, BOBBY together made iKON’s hit – “Love Scenario” and thanks to this hit, iKON got the first Perfect All Kill title in their career.
