How many songs that have achieved P.A.K in 2018 so far? The number is not as large as you think

Let’s look back at the songs that have scored P.A.K so far this year.

PAK stands for “Perfect All-kill,” a term for a song that ranks #1 on 6 daily and realtime charts, which are Melon, Genie, Bugs, Mnet, Naver and Soribada. At the same time, the song also has to earn first place on the iChart rankings in both realtime section and weekly section.

Because of the high demand for “absolute win” (1st rank on all music charts), P.A.K is considered a measuring tool for music products’ achievement in terms of digital standards. On the contrary, it is not easy for a song to achieve P.A.K in the middle of the current competitive music battlefield.

iKON – “Love Scenario”

IKON‘s hit song is considered a serious candidate for the “Song Of The Year” Daesang Award thanks to the 204-hour P.A.K achievement. This is also the song that holds the P.A.K record for the longest time in KPOP history.

BIGBANG – “Flower Road”

It’s simply a song for fans with no music video, no promotion and a recording from a long time ago, but “Flower Road” still could do well on the music charts. The hit song is a continuation on BIGBANG‘s P.A.K series that includes “Blue”, “Loser”, “Let’s Not Fall In Love” and “FXXK IT”.

Haon & Vinxen – “Bar Code”

“High School Rapper 2” is definitely a perfect launch pad for “Bar Code” by Haon and Vinxen, making the song very attractive to music lovers.

Loco & Hwasa – “Don’t Give it to Me”

This heartfelt love song only took 2 hours to achieve P.A.K since the time it received C.A.K.

BTS – “Fake Love”

“Fake Love” is the first P.A.K song in BTS’ music career. This achievement has helped the group consolidate their position in the competitive digital music ground.

Bolbbalgan4 – “Travel”

The Indie duo (as usual) completely wiped out all of the music charts every time they released a new song. In their re-launch this summer, Bolbbalgan4 took only four days to reach the P.A.K title.

BLACKPINK – “DDU-DU DDU-DU”

Shortly after Bol4, BLACKPINK continues to prove the mighty power of female artists in digital music. The hit “DDU-DU DDU-DU” set up a myriad of incredible records, including the P.A.K achievement series.

Red Velvet – “Power Up”

Recently, Red Velvet has also reached their first P.A.K in the group’s entire career. They are also the first artist in SM Entertainment to win this prestigious award. It’s no surprise that Red Velvet is the main girl group that has been in charge of SM Entertainment’s digital music scene for the time being.
