When Korean actors act in steamy bed scenes, not only the audience, they also have to face their parents’ reactions.

Compared to Hollywood, bed scenes are deemed more sensitive in Asian movies. As for Korean cinema, actors filming steamy scenes not only face pressure from the audience, but they also have to “worry” about their parents. The parents of the following famous Korean actors all have different, interesting reactions to their sons and daughters acting in daring love-making scenes.

Song Ji Hyo once filmed erotic scenes in “A Frozen Flower”. In response to these sexually arousing scenes, apart from compliments for her dedication, the audience used to leave many comments criticizing Song Ji Hyo. “A Frozen Flower” achieved much success and became an icon in Korean cinema. A year after the film’s release, Song Ji Hyo revealed that her parents still did not have enough courage to watch the movie. They only read the positive reviews on their daughter’s performance.

Song Ji-hyo‘s co-star in “A Frozen Flower”, Jo In Sung, also shared that his parents knew he filmed bed scenes but had not watched it yet. Jo In Sung‘s parents even jokingly said, “It seems like you have already grown up, right?”

Both Jung Woo Sung and Esom had to ask for their parents’ permission before filming the shocking steamy scene in “Scarlet Innocence”. Jung Woo Sung said when he confessed about his intention to “take off his clothes” for a scene, his father immediately agreed, saying, “Of course. You are old enough to take off your clothes.”
