“Hometown Cha Cha Cha” staff’s mixed testimony: “He made me feel uncomfortable throughout the filming process”
The staff of “Hometown Cha Cha Cha” expressed their unsettling feeling after working with Kim Seon-ho.
Another staff member’s conflicting testimony appeared after cheering messages from a staff of “Hometown Cha Cha Cha” was posted.
A staff member of tvN’s drama “Hometown Cha Cha Cha” drew attention after uploading a message cheering for actor Kim Seon-ho. On Oct 26th, this staff posted on their personal SNS, “Let’s get up quickly like Chief Hong. Kim Seon-ho, fighting.“
However, another staff member of “Hometown Cha Cha Cha” expressed doubts about that staff cheering for Kim Seon-ho through TenAsia on Oct 27th, saying, “The writer of that post must have been a close aide to Kim Seon-ho.“
“Kim Seon-ho usually made the atmosphere awkward with his frequent serious face and disapproving expression at the filming scene,” they said adding, “As a staff member who actually works with him a lot, I don’t really want to cheer for him.“
They then said, “Once, in the scene which Lee Sang-i and he was eating at the house of granny Kim Gam-ri (Kim Young-ok), after some kind of foreign substances were discovered in one of the side dishes, his expression became stiff from then on. It was a bad situation enough, but even if the prop team tried to refill the rice or side dishes later, he would say “No need” while putting on a serious face, which stunned everyone.“
They continued, “After that, I think his partner at that time – Lee Sang-yi – might have noticed this awkward atmosphere, so he tried to make some jokes, such as ‘Why are you only eating rice? Eat some side dishes, too’.”
Finally, they complained about their frustrations, saying, “Sometimes he just ruined the whole mood. Although he always smiled on the outside and was kind to other actors, if he didn’t act well, he blamed the staff for his mistakes and made everyone uncomfortable.”
Meanwhile, Kim Seon-ho was recently involved in a scandal related to his private life when a disclosure titled “I will expose the two-faced and shameless personality of the rising actor K” was posted on an online community on October 17th. The author, A, claimed to be actor K’s ex-girlfriend and revealed that K forced her to have an abortion under the pretense of marriage.
Then, the controversy seemed to end with Kim Seon-ho’s apology but blew up once again when A’s identity was disclosed by Dispatch’s report and a transcript of A’s ex-husband was released by Youtuber Lee Jin-ho.
