“High-ranking keyword is military service issue” BTS is No. 1 in October boy group brand reputation

BTS ranked first in boy group brand reputation as a result of big data analysis in October 2022.

The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute analyzed 57,455,002 boy group brand big data measured from September 8, 2022 to October 8, 2022, through consumer behavior analysis, boy group brand participation index, media index, communication index, and community index.


The Top 30 boy groups in the brand reputation rankings for October 2022 are BTS, Seventeen, NCT, The Boyz, EXO, Super Junior, Big Bang, Highlight, SHINee, Infinite, MONSTA X, BTOB, ASTRO, WINNER, Stray Kids, Wanna One, Shinhwa, 2PM, Tomorrow X Together, Treasure, ENHYPEN, VIXX, TVXQ, ATEEZ, Oneus, Golden Child, Pentagon, GOT7, Block B, and VICTON.

Koo Chang Hwan, director of the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, said, “As a result of big data analysis of boy group brand reputation in October 2022, BTS ranked first. Compared with 64,687,855 brand big data in September, the boy group brand category decreased by 11.18%. According to the detailed analysis, brand consumption decreased by 39.19%, brand issue decreased by 15.99%, brand communication decreased by 10.85%, and brand spread increased by 0.25%.”


He continued, “The BTS brand was highly analyzed in link analysis for ‘appearance, performance, and reveal’. In the keyword analysis, ‘concert, HYBE, military service issue’ were the highest-ranking phases. The positive/negative ratio was analyzed to be 65.41%. If you look at the detailed analysis of the brand reputation of BTS, their brand consumption decreased by 35.74%, brand issue decreased by 6.96%, brand communication increased by 4.92%, and brand expansion increased by 4.84%.”
