Actress Jeon So-min perfectly transformed into Squid Game’s Han Mi-nyeo character on Running Man.
SBS’s “Running Man”, which aired on Oct 17th, held a “webfoot octopus game” race based on Netflix’s “Squid Game”. Ahead of the second game, the members chose the boxes with a triangle, a circle, a star, and an umbrella on them respectively. Contrary to the expectation that it would be the Dalgona game, these boxes represented the lunch menu’s choices.
As the members finished choosing, triangular kimbap was provided for the triangle, fried rice and eggs for the circle, the PPL-brand jjimdak (Korean braised chicken) for the star, as well as Korean noodles and wild vegetable bibimbap for the umbrella.
Jeon So-min, who chose the only star, became the only one to eat jjimdak. She then suggested, “I will give a chance to eat this with 3 marbles.” Yang Se-chan readily accepted the offer, and a deal was set between the two. She then summoned her character during the race, which was “Squid Game” Han Mi-nyeo, and made a cheesy comment towards Yang Se-chan, saying, “Don’t we have a special relationship?”
After hearing this, Yoo Jae-seok responded, “I almost threw up.” Yang Se-chan also added to the laughter, showing his confusion towards Jeon So-min’s unexpected remark, saying “What are you talking about?”
Jeon So-min, who chosen “Han Mi-nyeo” as her, went to Song Jihyo who was chosen to be the villain of “Squid Game” Jang Deok-soo (played by Heo Sung-tae). She then said the line “Hey, are you the boss here?” to Song Ji-hyo, drawing laughter with her acting.
