On September 1, 8 members of Girls’ Generation appeared on tvN’s reality show “Yoo Quiz On The Block“.

Being asked if she wanted to say anything to herself in the past, Seo Hyun answered, “I want to ask the past Seo Hyun to be easier on herself”. She added, “However, thinking about it, I know that I am able to be here because I did my best in the past days”. Seo Hyun added to her words and made everyone laugh: “I’m sorry but I would say this to myself, ‘Please live a hard-working life. And if so, I would be able to exist.'”

In an interview with the show’s production team, Seo Hyun recalled the past stories, “I think I used to live a life without thinking of my real person as Seo Joo Hyun (Seo Hyun’s real name). ‘You must do this first’, ‘You must finish your current works successfully.’, those were the only thoughts in my mind at that time.”

Being asked if there was any time when she had to hide the feelings of Seo Joo Hyun, Seo Hyun replied, “I was having a hard time the day my grandmother passed away. I lived with her since I was young, so she was like a mother to me. On the day TaeTiSeo performed ‘Twinkle’ for the first time, my grandmother passed away.”

She shared, “I received the news at dawn, but because it was our unit’s first debut day, I tried to smile and get on the stage to perform. Now when I look back on it, I think I should have listened to my heart at least a little more.”
