Recently, Source Music, the current agency of LE SSERAFIM and former agency of GFRIEND, issued an official statement against claims made by Min Hee-jin – CEO of NewJeans’ agency, ADOR.
However, the statement’s comment soon became filled with angry fans, one of which pointed out Source Music’s lack of responsibility towards their former artists, GFRIEND.
In particular, the aforementioned fan attached a link to the official Japanese website of GFRIEND, mentioning that the website is now owned by people selling prostitution services.
As the URL is literally “gfriendofficial.jp”, many were worried that this will affect the image of the girl group, and expressed anger that Source Music would allow such a thing to happen.
However, others argue that the agency shouldn’t have to be responsible for upholding an URL of an artist no longer under them.
