Forbes, a US economic magazine, reported that BTS’s LOVE YOURSELF 轉 ‘Tear’ was the only foreign language album to be ranked among the top ten bestselling physical albums in the United States.
Forbes reported this information on Tuesday (local time) with the article called: “Korean boy group BTS has one of the best selling physical albums in the United States” on Tuesday (local time).
“According to Nielsen Music’s report on the first half of 2018, the 3rd album LOVE YOURSELF 轉’ Tear ‘was the 9th best selling album in the US and the only record in Korean as well as foreign language.”
Forbes stated that,”LOVE YOURSELF 轉 ‘Tear goes beyond the geographical, linguistic, and cultural barriers, and continues the record lineage of boy group BTS that has become the most popular boy band in 2018, and finally hit #1 on the Billboard200 chart.”
“There are many success factors, but the power of ARMY is the main source, and it has played a big role in promoting the influence of social media by contributing to the album sales and raising awareness for BTS.”
Forbes finally reported that, “BTS is scheduled to have a LOVE YOURSELF tour at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on September 5 and has 13 performances in various cities in the United States and Canada.” and that “Concert tickets are among the most demanding tickets this summer so the market for secondary ticket purchases is getting tougher.“
