SM Entertainment announced that they would not be able to release the highlight clip of Taeyeon’s new song.
On February 4th, SM Entertainment posted an announcement on Girls’ Generation‘s official Twitter account, saying, “We would like to inform the fans who are waiting for Taeyeon’s third full-length album ‘INVU’, which will be released on February 14th.”
The agency said, “The highlight clip content of Taeyeon’s third full-length album ‘INVU’, which was scheduled to be released from today (4th) to 10th, could not be released due to completeness issues.”
They added, “We sincerely apologize for delivering this unfortunate news to the fans who have been waiting for a long time, and we ask for your generous understanding as it is an inevitable decision to cancel. We will make every effort to prevent the same problem from occurring in the future.”
Taeyeon raised fans’ expectations to the fullest by releasing a mood sampler and teaser images before the album’s release. The highlight clip was scheduled to be released from February 4th, but SM Entertainment announced that they would not be able to release the video due to completeness issues, which caused fans’ resentment.
Previously, SM was criticized by fans for delaying the release of music videos by various artists including Girls’ Generation and Red Velvet – Irene & Seulgi.
