EXO’s Chanyeol, who is serving in the military, showed his good influence through donations.
On Oct 29th, “Snail of Love” – an organization which supports the hearing-impaired, announced that Chanyeol donated the cost of cochlear implant surgery for deaf children. Chanyeol’s good deeds for deaf children have continued since the beginning of this year.
In January, he applied to become a regular sponsor for Snail of Love, saying he wanted to support deaf children in covering the cost of cochlear implant surgery. Besides, Chanyeol also delivered an additional 16 million won three times in February, July and October. Thanks to Chanyeol’s sharing, two deaf children were able to hear sounds through cochlear implant surgery. One of them underwent surgery and is receiving speech rehabilitation treatments, while the other child is scheduled to undergo surgery soon.
Snail of Love‘s representative shared, “Hearing impairment is the second most common disability. Every year, 1 or 2 out of 1,000 newborns are born with hearing loss. These children can hear and speak after undergoing cochlear implant surgery. We would like to thank Park Chanyeol for his warm sharing for deaf children even though he is serving in the military.” Meanwhile, Chanyeol enlisted in March this year. He is currently taking the role of Rahman in the military musical “The Meisa’s Song”.
