EXO Kai recently appeared on the show ‘Udo Innkeeper,’ where the male idol poured out his heart with his seniors. He shared many things about his career. Especially, Kai revealed that he once thought that he would retire at the age of 29.
Kai shared that when he was 20 years old, he always thought that he would retire around 29. Kai debuted when he was 19 years old in Korea, which means this thought appeared from 2013 when EXO released XOXO and Overdose. Kai is now 28 years old in Korea. It means he intended to retire next year.
Talking more about his thought, Kai said he had heard that the lifespan of idols is usually from 5 to 7 years. However, Kai‘s group – EXO, is about to celebrate its 10th debut anniversary in 2022.
It is true that the lifespan of most groups is short, but some groups have been active for a long time. A classic example, right at SM, SNSD and Super Junior have existed for more than ten years and even more.
