EXO confirmed comeback on July 10th, “Proceed as planned”

Boy group EXO will make a full comeback in July, amid contract conflicts between SM and Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin.

On June 9th, SM Entertainment stated to Xsports News, “We plan to release EXO’s 7th full-length album on July 10th. Album-related promotions will proceed as planned, and we will soon announce the detailed schedule.”

EXO is set to make a full-group comeback this year, in celebration of the group’s 11th debut anniversary. Previously, members Xiumin, D.O. Suho, Chen, Chanyeol, and Baekhyun were enlisted in the military, making it challenging for full-group activities.

As a result, EXO will finally be making a comeback as a full group, approximately 5 years after the release of their repackaged album “Love Shot” in December 2018.

It is expected that Kai, who recently enlisted as a public service worker, will also feature his voice in the comeback.

Furthermore, despite the ongoing disputes between SM Entertainment and EXO members Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin, there have been no changes in their participation plans.

Previously on June 1st, Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin, claimed to be forced into a “slave contract” by SM Entertainment and announced the termination of their exclusive contracts.

However, both the agency and Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin, have expressed a strong commitment to EXO’s activities and stated their intention to proceed with the scheduled music video shoot with all seven members (except for Kai, who has enlisted).

At the same time, global fans’ attention is focused on EXO’s grand comeback after a five-year break.

Meanwhile, since their debut in 2012, EXO has received a lot of love from the public with numerous hit songs such as “Growl”, “Overdose”, “Call Me Baby”, “Ko Ko Bop”, and “Tempo.”
