EXO Chen temporarily postponed the album release.
SM Entertainment announced on the 30th, “We have decided to temporarily postpone the release date of Chen’s third mini-album, ‘Last Scene,’ which was scheduled for the 31st.”
The agency said, “I heard the news about the Itaewon disaster that occurred on the 29th. “The decision was made with condolences to the victims,” he said.
He added, “We ask for the understanding of fans who are waiting for the album.”
The online press conference, which was scheduled to be held in the afternoon of the release date, was also canceled. Chen and SM also plan to postpone all of the planned promotional events.
On the 29th, a large-scale crushing accident occurred in Itaewon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. As of 11 a.m., 151 people were killed and 83 were injured.
The government has designated it as a national mourning period from today to the 5th of next month. Accordingly, the entertainment industry is canceling various events and expressing condolences.
