Current vote ranking of 2021 MAMA Worldwide Fans’ Choice: BTS’s 1st place is at risk, will TWICE or BLACKPINK’s Rosé drop out of Top 10?

In less than a day, voting for 2021 MAMA Worldwide Fans’ Choice Top 10 will close.

The 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA 2021) is one of the most highly anticipated year-end events. Before the awards ceremony takes place, voting is extremely important and always a fierce battle among fans of the artists. This year, voting opens for the Worldwide Fans’ Choice Top 10 category.

The winners of Worldwide Fans’ Choice Top 10 are 100% decided by fan votes. The Top 10 artists with the highest number of votes will receive the Bonsang Worldwide Fans’ Choice Top 10 at the upcoming MAMA. Website voting accounts for 80%, social media for 10% and Apple Music for 10%.

Currently, the final voting round from November 25 to December 9 is seeing interesting changes. Changes in the result at the last minute are totally possible, like how TWICE surpassed Rosé in the pre-vote round to enter the Top 10 in only a few minutes. Before voting ends, let’s take a look at the ranking as of 4pm on December 8.

Top 4 are BTS, Stray Kids, ENHYPEN and NCT Dream
Top 4 are BTS, Stray Kids, ENHYPEN and NCT Dream

It can be clearly seen that BTS and Stray Kids are competing fiercely for 1st place. With a gap of around 1%, will Stray Kids be able to surpass BTS to dominate the No.1 spot? The third- and fourth-ranking groups are also maintaining a small gap. Therefore, there is a high possibility that NCT Dream could surpass their junior group Enhypen, which is under the same company as BTS.

The next 4 groups: NCT 127, TREASURE, TXT, Lisa (BLACKPINK)
The next 4 groups: NCT 127, TREASURE, TXT, Lisa (BLACKPINK)

While the Top 8 spots are mostly taken over by boy groups, Lisa is the only female idol that ranks the highest at No.8. Ranking higher than Lisa are NCT 127, TREASURE, and TXT. The fact that 2 units of NCT have entered the Top 10 proves that this SM boy group has such a powerful fandom. TREASURE is also doing well as the highest-ranking YG representative idol. The voting gaps of No.5 to No.8 are not significant.

From No.9 to No.12: Seventeen, TWICE, Rosé (BLACKPINK), ATEEZ
From No.9 to No.12: Seventeen, TWICE, Rosé (BLACKPINK), ATEEZ

The No.9 Seventeen has nearly caught up with the No.8 Lisa. At this moment, everything can still be turned upside down. However, the most intense battle is between TWICE and Rosé (BLACKPINK). With a difference of 0,05%, TWICE is still safe at No.10. Will Rosé be able to surpass TWICE and get into the final Top 10.
