Criticized for making Han So Hee film a steamy nude scene, the agency stayed silent for almost half a month before speaking up to explain

Han So-hee explained that the bed scene in “My Name” was carried out after sufficient consultation in advance.

On the morning of Nov 2nd, Han So-hee‘s agency, U-ATTO Entertainment, said in an official press release, “We would like to correct the suspicion that a specific scene in Netflix series “My Name” was decided on the spot without prior consent.

The agency explained, “We believe that actress Han So-hee’s words on Oct 20th saying, ‘I only found out during the filming,’ in a media interview related to this series can cause some misunderstanding.”. They added, “The bed scene was first discussed at the pre-production stage as they mentioned the possibility of filming a bed scene to show the emotional change of Jiwoo. However, since the script was not completed at that time, they decided to think of it again during the filming process, considering the character’s emotional line so that it could show Jiwoo’s human side later on. This is the scene that explains the amplitude of Jiwoo’s emotions due to the occurrence of sudden incidents. After discussion, the scene was filmed with the consent of the actors and the production crew. The director and the writer also considered and worried a lot about how to express this scene.

They added, “Therefore, ‘I only found out (about the scene) during the filming’ means that the scene was finally decided during the filming process after considerations and discussions. Moreover, actress Han So-hee also explained her concerns and intentions to the director and the writer, then agreed to film this scene. We want to let you know that all scenes were conducted after sufficient discussion between the actors and the production team, including the director and writer. Please refrain from making wrong speculations and spreading misunderstandings.

Han So-hee appeared in Netflix’s series “My Name”, which was released on the 15th of last month. However, after Han So-hee’s remark during an interview that said, ‘I only found out about the scene during the filming’,  regarding the bed scene that appeared in “My Name”, people seemed to have misunderstood her words, due to which the actress’s company had to explain the allegations directly.

Hello. This is U-ATTO Entertainment.

We would like to correct the suspicion that a specific scene in the Netflix series “My Name” was decided on the spot without prior consent.

We believe that actress Han So-hee’s words on Oct 20th saying, ‘I only found out during the filming,’ in a media interview related to this series can cause some misunderstanding. Therefore, in order to correct this, we would like to inform you of the process of how the scene was decided.

The bed scene was first discussed at the pre-production stage as they mentioned the possibility of filming a bed scene to show the emotional change of Jiwoo.

Therefore, ‘I only found out (about the scene) during the filming’ means that the scene was finally decided during the filming process after considerations and discussions. Moreover, actress Han So-hee also explained her concerns and intentions to the director and the writer, then agreed to film this scene.

We want to let you know that all scenes were conducted after sufficient discussion between the actors and the production team, including the director and writer.

Knowing the concerns and hardships the production crew and fellow actors have been through for this drama, we are here to explain the matters directly.

Please refrain from making wrong speculations and spreading misunderstandings.

Thank you.
