Fans are expressing their expectations ahead of the discharge of SHINee’s Taemin, who is only six days away from being released from the military.
In just six days, fans will welcome back one of their favorite idols as SHINee’s Taemin is set to be discharged from his military service.
Fans have been eagerly anticipating his return and were recently given a glimpse of his upcoming comeback through a tweet from SHINee’s official Twitter account.
The tweet, which read “TAEMIN is back,” was accompanied by two photos of Taemin with his beloved cat. Fans were immediately drawn to the photos and expressed their excitement and joy over Taemin’s imminent return.
Taemin enlisted in the military on May 31, 2021, and was initially assigned to the Military Band of the Ministry of National Defense.
However, in January of this year, he was transferred to a supplementary reserve due to worsening symptoms of depression and anxiety.
According to his agency, SM Entertainment, Taemin had been receiving treatment and counseling for his mental health conditions while serving in the military. Unfortunately, his symptoms worsened, and he was deemed unfit to continue serving in active duty.
Despite the setback, fans have been eagerly awaiting Taemin’s return and counting down the days until his discharge. The fact that there is only one week left until his discharge has made fans even more excited, and they have been expressing their anticipation through social media.
Taemin isn’t the only idol set to be discharged in April. DAY6’s Young K and MONSTA X’s Shownu are also expected to be discharged this month. Young K will be discharged on April 11th, while Shownu will be discharged on April 21st.
