Choi Young Jae shared the story of how he was fired because of being taken photos of while working as President Moon Jae In’s bodyguard

Choi Young Jae explained the reason why he was fired after the press photo of him doing his mission as President Moon Jae In’s bodyguard was released.

In the 296th episode of JTBC‘s variety show “Knowing Bros” aired on September 4, the cast members welcomed the “Steel Troop” including Oh Jong Hyuk, Park Gun, and master Choi Young Jae as the new transfer students.

During the show, Choi Young Jae recalled the story when his face was revealed while he was doing his security duty at the 19th presidential election in 2017. He explained, “The military called me to deliver the mission. Therefore, I just went to that place and took charge of protecting that person without knowing who he was”

He mentioned the photo that made him become famous and be known as “the handsome bodyguard“. He shared, “When you’re doing the job as a bodyguard, the journalists will always take photos of the VIPs only. There is no reason for the cameras to target a bodyguard like me. However, at that time, one of the cameras was spinning. I glared at it and was taken in the camera. After that, I became famous.”

In the end, Choi Young Jae drew the cast members’ attention by explaining the side effect of fame: “Because of that incident, I got fired. It was because a bodyguard had become so famous”
