Fans are complaining about the agency’s perfunctoriness towards BLACKPINK’s promotion in Japan.
These days, YG has continuously “teased” BLACKPINK‘s comeback in Japan with individual photo teasers of the 4 members in the upcoming album ‘THE ALBUM’. After that, the first teaser video was released, including the previous series of photos and more group photos.
The photos afterwards received a lot of negative responses from BLINK due to its uncared-for effects and photo editing, the concept also received complaints because the outfits are identical to the tennis shirts and skirts in the MV ‘ICE CREAM’ released in Korea from last August. However, this concept is still praised for BLACKPINK’s beauty, attractiveness and unique charms of the 4 members.
Compared to the previous Japanese album ‘Kill This Love’, apparently YG’s investment in the group is just the same – similar concept, even no MV. Therefore, fans do not expect much with ‘THE ALBUM Japanese ver.’ this time.
– It seems that YG doesn’t take care of BLACKPINK in the Japanese market.
– Last time, there was no new Japanese MV for the album Kill This Love, so this time it’s probably the same.
– The Japanese version of the DDU-DU DDU-DU MV was nothing new, so now there’s not much hope.
BLACKPINK’s first full Japanese album ‘THE ALBUM’ is scheduled to be released on August 3rd. It consists of 8 songs, including 4 Japanese versions of How You Like That, Pretty Savage, Lovesick Girls and You Never Know, the remaining 4 songs Ice Cream, Bet You Wanna, Crazy Over You and Love To Hate Me in the original version.
