BTS’s song “Friends” to become an OST for Marvel’s new movie “Eternals”

It has been confirmed that the BTS song has been used as background music in Marvel’s new worldwide blockbuster “Eternals.”

BTS become the second Korean artist after PSY to have a song adopted as a Hollywood blockbuster’s OST. The Direct, a North American entertainment media outlet, revealed on October 18 that the song “Friends” from BTS’s 2020 album “MAP OF THE SOUL:7” will be one of the OSTs of “Eternals.”

BTS Enternal OST

In addition to BTS’s “Friends,” the media source also unveiled the other 15 tracks from the OST list, including the legendary progressive rock band Pink Floyd’s “Time” and Skeeter Davis’ “The End of the World,” which was used in the trailer. Regarding the report, Walt Disney Company Korea confirmed the news was true.

“Friends” is a song from BTS’s 4th full album released in February 2020. Jimin, a member of the group, was in charge of producing the song and drew much attention. Since PSY’s Hangover in “Black Panther,” it is the second time a Korean song is used as an OST for a Hollywood blockbuster.

In addition to BTS, Ma Dong-seok is also drawing attention for joining the main cast of “Eternals” as Gilgamesh. The movie will be released in Korea on November 3rd, after BTS’s song is added to the OST.
